OUR STORY
Contour was launched in 2020 after we built and travelled in our own campervan throughout Europe. We are partners in both life and business and we are outdoor enthusiasts with backgrounds in product design, manufacturing, visual arts and textiles.
Every piece of furniture on offer at Contour, has been meticulously thought through based on real lived experience of vanlife. Our furniture is super functional and packed with practical details that make living on the road enjoyable. Our layouts have been designed to create intuitive and beautiful spaces that are a joy to relax in, after a day in the hills. Rain or shine each layout has the capacity to be a cosy haven or inviting outdoor/indoor space, which makes the most of the views and good weather. Most importantly, our furniture has been honed and refined from prototypes (which we trial and test ourselves) through to the final iterations that you see today. These have gone through tweaks and changes to create what we truly believe is the best use of space, coupled with a great user experience and our signature aesthetic.
Contour’s goal is to supply furniture of the highest quality to help you achieve the campervan of your dreams! It is designed to be easily assembled at home with only basic tools, and we are always on hand to provide support with fitting and finishing advice, so that you can get that bespoke fit and finish. Our campervan furniture kits are lovingly crafted in our Lake District office-come-workshop from the initial sketch all the way through to production.
All of our furniture is meticulously drawn in 3D CAD before being precision cut on our CNC machine. This production process means we can add heaps of features and details into our furniture whilst keeping it affordable, making it a hit with both the public and trade customers.
Every unit we ship comes with a digital assembly guide which helps you build your units with only a few basic tools.
Our passion for design is reflected in the simple, modern aesthetic built into all of our campervan furniture as standard.
